Alex Jay Lore (he/they) is a queer and trans author of science fiction and fantasy with LGBTQ+ protagonists. His debut science fiction novel, EMPIRE OF LIGHT, written as Alex Harrow, is out now from NineStar Press with books two and three forthcoming. Alex’s work has been featured in multiple fiction and non-fiction anthologies.   

When not writing books full of queerness and explosions, Alex is a high school English teacher, waging epic battles against comma splices and misused apostrophes. Alex also works as a freelance editor and bookseller, making his childhood dream of working with books true one page at a time.
