Acclaimed writer, Dennis Foon has published five award-winning YA novels that have made the PW and ALA Top Ten Lists, NYPL’s List and starred reviews in the SLJ.  His novel, Skud, received the Sheila A. Egoff Book Award and his sci-fi/fantasy trilogy, The Longlight Legacy, a Red Maple Honor Book, is published in five languages, and is currently in TV series development with Inner City Films (Toronto) and Wady Films (Luxembourg).    

He’s written many award-winning screenplays including CinemaEuropa Prize winner SAWAH and his adaptation of Chanda’s Secrets (Prix Chalais at Cannes, Oscar shortlist).  His screenplay of Richard Wagamese’s Indian Horse won a multitude of Film Festival awards.  An internationally produced playwright, Dennis’ many plays, including New Canadian Kid, Mirror Game, and Skin have received the British Theatre Award and a Governor General’s nomination.
