Dustin Galer

Dustin Galer is a professional historian with a PhD in history from the University of Toronto. He wrote the first book-length history of the Canadian disability rights movement, Working Towards Equity, and has published widely on the topic of disability history and labour. Galer also wrote the groundbreaking biography Beryl: The Making of a Disability Activist, to be published by Between the Lines in 2023, which includes a foreword by famed Canadian feminist Judy Rebick. He has produced dozens of personal and corporate history projects through his business, www.MyHistorian.ca, and when he isn't writing or researching, he can often be found toiling away in his garden in Hamilton, Ontario.
