Kathy Miller
Kathy grew up in Michigan and earned her BA and MA from Michigan State University and her PhD from the University of Southern California. In her three-decade career as a professor, she taught, mentored and conducted research in the areas of organizational, family, and health communication. She is the author of scores of journal articles, several textbooks, and the nonfiction War Makes Men of Boys: A Soldier’s World War Two.
Kathy now sees herself as a recovering academic and writes historical fiction and narrative nonfiction, telling the stories of bold women the world has forgotten. She lives in Golden Valley, Minnesota with two sister cats. When she’s not writing or reading, she’s playing the piano, cross-stitching, or trying to craft the perfect bourbon cocktail.
