Lisa Kerr
Lisa Kerr grew up hiking and exploring the Western United States and eventually studied literature focused on the same geography. When she isn’t researching rattlesnakes for her next story, she can be found avoiding them in the California desert where she calls home. Her forthcoming picture book, Wake, Sleepy One, is a tribute to one of her favorite desert landscapes and the life that can be found there.
Lisa holds a bachelor of arts degree in English with an emphasis in creative writing from California State University, Northridge and is an active member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI). She lives in Central California with her four children (three of whom are triplets), and their rescue dog, Olive. Lisa is most often found going down research rabbit holes, for days at a time, but when she’s not digging up new animal research, she can be found on Twitter @lisakerrbooks or on her website: www.lisadkerrbooks.com.
