Madelaine Shaw-Wong
Madelaine Shaw-Wong is an avid reader of a wide variety of genre, but it is her love of legends and mythology that influences much of her writing. She likes to weave both ancient and modern cultural beliefs into her stories. She is the author of the dystopian novel, Quietus, and she wrote her mother's life story in Cradling the Past, a Biography of Margaret Shaw.
Cradling the Past was taken into Calgary's Glenbow Museum as part of their permanent library collection. Madelaine has also published several short stories in various journals and anthologies. Madelaine is a former school teacher who now teaches creative writing to adults in Calgary, Alberta, passing on her love of story-telling to others.
