Michael Hingston is the author of Let's Go Exploring (ECW, 2018), a critical and cultural analysis of the comic strip Calvin and Hobbes, and the campus novel The Dilettantes (Freehand, 2013). His journalism has appeared in Wired, the Washington Post, the Guardian, and the Atlantic. He is also the co-founder of Hingston & Olsen Publishing, the outfit behind the Short Story Advent Calendar. Hingston lives with his family in Edmonton, Alberta.
