Michelle Felder
Michelle Felder is a licensed clinical social worker, parenting and child development specialist, psychotherapist, and parenting coach with over 20 years of experience working with children, families, and educators. Michelle received her BA in Psychology with a minor in cognitive science from Georgetown University, and subsequently received her Masters in Social Work from New York University and Masters in Child Development from Sarah Lawrence College; she is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Clinical Social Work at NYU. Since beginning her professional career, Michelle has supported children and families in a variety of settings, including schools, homes, and outpatient mental health clinics.
Michelle is the Founder and CEO of Parenting Pathfinders®, which provides psychotherapy, coaching, and workshops to parents and caregivers with the goals of helping them to navigate the challenges of raising children with intentionality and balance, supporting their emotional and mental health, and empowering them to parent with more confidence and ease. Alongside running her business, Michelle is an adjunct instructor and faculty advisor at NYU’s Silver School of Social Work and a member of the Parents Expert Review Board, where she helps to ensure that Parents’ online content is accurate, reliable, and aligns with the latest insights on childhood and approaches to parenting.
Michelle’s parenting expertise has been featured in dozens of online and print publications such as Well + Good, TIME, Ebony, USA Today, Parents, National Geographic, and the Huffington Post, as well as in multiple TV segments on NBC LX and a variety of podcasts. Michelle is an accomplished public speaker and has delivered keynote speeches and workshops to audiences across North America.
