Nadia Guo

Nadia is a lawyer who was called to the bar in June 2019, having obtained her law degree from Osgoode Hall Law School. She worked as an escort under a pseudonym to support herself both before and after law school.

In December 2018, she woke up to find herself outed on the front page of the Toronto Sun. The media and public scrutiny that ensued forced Nadia up against the stigma sex workers continue to face in her overlapping worlds, particularly as a young, disaffected Chinese-Canadian woman pursuing a career in criminal defence.   However, Nadia always enjoys a good fight.

She is currently writing a book about navigating and owning her sexual autonomy while working in the conservative confines of the legal profession. She has been published in HuffPost Canada  and you can read more of her writing here. Her interests include modernist literature, photography, writing, pleasure, technology, solitude, and individual liberty.
