Podcaster Dana Goldstein's SHIFT and FLOW have sold to Chrissy Willis at Young Dragons Press in a two-book deal.
Pitched as having the camaraderie and adventure of HOLES with the environmental conscience of HOOT, the main character notices strange animal behavior and other weird ecological and geological events. With the help of his friends and his foundation in science, he comes up with a theory that tests himself and his relationship with his father.
"Dana captures the middle-grade voice and interweaves big environmental issues in with day-to-day family and friend relationships in a masterful way,” says The Rights Factory agent Stacey Kondla. “This is a STEM novel that will inspire kids with a main character they can relate to."
SHIFT and FLOW are scheduled for publication in 2023.
